Leigh is a highly experienced physiotherapist with over a decade of expertise in sports and musculoskeletal care. After completing his undergraduate studies in 2011, Leigh pursued post-graduate studies in Sports Physiotherapy at La Trobe University, graduating in 2016. Since then, he has developed a special interest in foot and ankle pathology. In 2017, Leigh joined Foot and Ankle Rehabilitation Australia, where he collaborates closely with some of Melbourne’s most reputable foot and ankle surgeons and sports physicians, further refining his evidence-based assessment and treatment models.
Leigh is a strong advocate for multidisciplinary care and, when clinically relevant, works alongside podiatrists and exercise physiologists to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
In addition to his expertise in foot and ankle rehabilitation, Leigh has gained extensive experience in the elite sporting environment over the past 15 years. He has worked with organizations including NBL’s Melbourne United, Hockey Australia, Hockey Victoria, PGA Australasia Tour, and has provided individual care for some of Australia’s leading ultra-marathon runners. His passion for helping individuals return from injury and achieve their personal goals is at the core of his practice.
Leigh is also dedicated to advancing the field of physiotherapy through evidence-based practice and education. Since 2021, he has been teaching acute injury management and rehabilitation at Deakin University and mentoring university students.
